Decorate your Creative Guardian spaces

It is interesting to try new things. Sometimes traditional ideas about living room décor aren’t the best solution for some living spaces. The creative guardian spaces, regardless of size, should be able to function as a space for relaxation.

We will give you some tips on how to decorate your creative living space.

Regardless of the type of creative living space, you’re decorating, it is of great importance to pay attention to detail. We will give you some decorating tips to make sure you enjoy a living space that's both comfortable and stylish.

Decorate with mirrors

With a mirror, not only will you have a way to look at yourself other than your phone camera on, but you’ll get more light bouncing around in the creative living space, and a mirror can take the room look bigger as well.

If possible, position a mirror across from your window so it will reflect the view and give the illusion of another window.

The use of a mirror does not only benefit you of making sure you look the best version of yourself, but also gives the room a more sophisticated look and feel.

We encourage mirrors as this does not violate or cause any potential risk to other house guardians like using a candle.

Use neutral colours

One of the most popular and creative living space ideas is the use of neutral colours. A palette of off-whites or beiges will expand the space by appearing to push back the walls.

Soft hues also tend to illuminate a room by reflecting light. A neutral palette imparts instant sophistication and creates a calming environment.

Choose furniture with a lightweight appearance

Since most of the rooms come unfurnished, when you shop for furniture, make sure you consider its virtual weight. This concept refers to the perceived heaviness of an object based on size, colour and design.

Pick out pieces that have a lightweight appearance, as heavier ones will seem to constrict a space.

Select small scale furniture

It is of great importance to select furniture that won’t dominate the room space. Sofa with thin arms and a tightly upholstered back is preferable to one with substantial arms and a multi-cushion back.

If your creative living space is a little bit tight, you could do without a couch completely, either choosing a loveseat or opting to position four chairs around a coffee table. When picking out chairs, consider armless ones because they will take up less space than a model with arms.

Most of our creative guardian spaces come unfurnished, allowing you to make your space your own. Want to become a Camelot Property Guardian? Check out our available properties.
