Business Development Manager

£30,000 per annum + commission structure + company car + pension + 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)

Location: Field based but reporting to the London or Birmingham office

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Camelot Europe, a fast-growing, market leader in the vacant Property Security industry, for a Business Development Manager to exceed sales and margin targets, to add value to new business and deliver on brand strategy.

In Europe we are the leading Vacant Property Operator, and to date the largest privately owned student housing facilitator in the Netherlands with over 5000 studios. We operate from offices in 7 different countries and we have added two more countries in 2018! Our operations run via 4 business units: Property Management, HighTech-security services, Property Development and Maintenance Services.

 

Our ideal candidate:

You are required to have a strong sales background, ideally in property, security, or facilities management, and a ‘hands on approach’ with which you are able to realise substantial results.  The company strongly believes in realising growth through maximizing your potential, so if you bring in the results, your opportunities here are endless. 

 

Responsibilities:

Finding sales opportunities

Follow up on leads and sales inquiries

Building excellent relationships with potential clients

Write client proposals and negotiate to a successful conclusion

Collaborating with the Operations team to arrange the take on of new properties

Recording daily sales activities and client information using Salesforce

Run salesforce campaigns for prospects and clients

Plan meetings with potential clients to sell the company’s products and solutions

Attend networking events and exhibitions

Field based, with regular travel to meet with prospective clients

 

Office hours: 8:30 am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

 

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Have a proven Sales track record
  • Experience in negotiating and exceeding client requirements.
  • A demonstrable track record of achievement and sales development as a BDM ideally within a vacant property security environment.
  • Have a proven track record in delivering business plans
  • Have excellent analytical skills, commercially astute, and results oriented.
  • Be a self-starter, entrepreneurial, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Have a strong eye for detail
  • Have a passion for the vacant property security concept
  • Have a UK driving licence
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Salesforce is desirable
  • Experience in drafting concise and legally binding contracts and offer letters
