How does it Work
Camelot manages vacant properties, awaiting a new purpose, for clients all over Europe. Properties may be pending demolition, renovation, sales, rentals, or redevelopment. We can, therefore, never know beforehand how long you are able to stay in a certain property.
As part of the flexible arrangement, it may be that you have to leave a property after a few months, but there are Guardians who have been living at the same property for several years.
Are you currently looking for a place to live? Please check our available locations and apply directly online for the property of your choice.
What Camelot asks of its Guardians:
First of all you need to be very flexible. Anti-squatting is not the same as renting. Our termination period is two weeks, so sometimes you will only know, within a short time, that you will have to leave the property. Depending on the current availability of vacant properties, Camelot will always try to transfer good quality Guardians.
We expect all guardians to keep their temporary living space clean and tidy. It is important that the property and its surrounding area looks presentable. We monitor this through our monthly property inspections. Our Guardians are our ambassadors. If they live in an acceptable manner, our clients will remain happy. Happy clients mean that we can offer you more properties to live in!
We expect you to perform small maintenance tasks yourselves, such as the replacement of a broken bulb or the unplugging of a sink. It is obligatory to report all calamities (such as leaks, burglaries etc.) directly to Camelot. We, therefore, expect you to be resident in the property frequently. Someone that needs to visit France for work purposes on a regular basis, or visits his parents house every weekend, is for that reason not a suitable Guardian.
Finally, we ask that you live in a harmonious fashion with other guardians and act courteously to residents of neighbouring properties.
