Former theme park, 'Land van Ooit'
CASE
The former theme park, the 'Land van Ooit' (Land of Once-Upon-A-Time), fell into the hands of the municipality of Heusden after it went bust. The extensive grounds comprising a wood with, among other things, a riding stables, event halls and the eye-catching Roze Kasteel (pink castle) were put under various Camelot expert services. In addition to placing guardians in the castle and some of the outbuildings, Camelot set up temporary living containers at strategic locations around the grounds as well as providing security services. Working with the municipality, income is still generated by renting out the grounds and buildings for events.
